Clare Kwebiha Nsubuga trained as a midwife at Nsambya Nursing Training School and worked in various Ugandan hospitals before developing an interest in research. In addition to a Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University, she has 10 years experience working in AIDS-related activities, including research, counselling and the training of communities in HIV prevention and AIDS care.
She has participated in a number of research studies, including one investigating the knowledge, attitudes and practices of traditional medicine practitioners and HIV/AIDS.
