Dalene Mofokeng
Regional Coordinator (SARO)
Dalene is the Southern African Regional coordinator for APCA with extensive experience in community development. Prior to joining APCA, she worked as an Assistant Director (Community Based Services) for the Department of Health, South Africa. The main focus of the community based services programme was to form partnerships with NPOs and FBOs in the provision of home based care, including community based palliative care.
Dalene is a nurse by profession and also worked as a palliative care nurse at St Luke’s hospice, South Africa. Dalene did her undergraduate studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT), Cape Town, South Africa. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in HIV & AIDS and Society.
